Sending communications, also known as sending notices, is a very simple process. To send the basic notice you should only need to follow the simplest of processes. The information below does not cover the fun features of attachments, logo and color, templates, newsletter creation or filters. You may find additional information at www.learnjbf.com on these features.
Here is a list of items to check before sending a notice under the “Take Action” in
Just Between Friends.
Just Between Friends is a permissions based system. You may have all permissions or be an admin who only requires one permission; and that is to send notices to your group and/or subgroups
If you wish to communicate with subgroups such as “book fair volunteers”, the group must be created and must have people with email addresses linked to it. You may simply wish to communicate with the entire school and would not need to create subgroups and link members.
Of course, if a household does not have an email address associated with their account they will not receive a notice. Click on the “View Your People” under the happy face to get an idea of how many people have email addresses in their households. Look under the envelope icon.
Simply go to the “Take Action” box and select a message type to send. You may always change the type during the creation of the notice.
