Why do I need to transition to the new school year?

This process assumes that your unit is currently in the Just Between Friends system. 

With the start of every school year, certain steps must be performed to hand over PTA duties and processes.  In the Just Between Friends system, you will need to do the following items to create a smooth transition into the next school year. 

Checklist:

* For administrative purposes, add any new officers on your PTA board who will be using the system to add people, track members, communicate or manage volunteers within the system

* If the individuals do not have an account in the system you must add them first and mark them as a PTA member, then make them an officer

* You or the new admin should graduate any students in classrooms or grades to their next grade

* It is important to make the transition prior to current officer terms expiring

* Run reports to get a snapshot of your unit as it stands today, in terms of people in the system and PTA members
